Chris Pratt and Arnold Schwarzenegger: Golf Buddies?
From the outside looking in, the life of a movie star seems impervious to flaw. However it has been confirmed that Chris Pratt is one of us, a weekend warrior trying to find answers in the hopeless abyss that is amateur golf. For now here’s some quick tidbits about how awesome Chris Pratt’s life is right now:
– He was the lead in the No. 1 and No. 2 highest grossing movies in the US earlier this year. Noted by Deadline, with Guardians of the Galaxy making over $110 million in its opening weekend it bumped Mario Brothers to No 2. The Mario Brothers movie had been No. 1 since it’s release. So it just goes to show the only one that can beat Chris Pratt at the box office is Chris Pratt. He’s impossible to wipe away from the big screen…
– He’s married to Katherine Schwarzenegger which means his father in law is…
I’m guessing Chris Pratt and Arnold Schwarzenegger have played a few golf rounds together. Arnold’s life and career are so amazing it would be incredible to play a round with him, smoke a few cigars, and just listen to his stories. If I had a list of Top 10 famous people I’d like to play golf with, Arnold is on there for sure. Any time I hear Arnold’s name and golf I instantly think of a story my brother told me. My brother didn’t see Arnold himself but got this story secondhand and it matches this story posted on Reddit.

That frustration is real and any golfer knows it. Sorry Chris you might have the world by the short and curlies but golf is the great equalizer. You might have piles of money, an amazing career, an awesome family BUT you chunk your bunker shots just like the rest of us. You’re one of us.

For some twisted reason it gives me comfort knowing that even the great Chris Pratt struggles with golf. Why does that give me comfort? I don’t know and I’m not paying a therapist to figure it out because I think in the end, it’s just golf. Hit ‘em straight.
